It was 1969 that I had last been at the Isle of Wight
Festival, and on that day it was Pete Townshend sitting where I am sitting now.
The Who were on stage in one hour.
On landing, the Who's
helicopter rotor blade hit the corner of a canvas marquis and tore a huge strip
out of the side. I hoped our landing would be less eventful.
